San Diego Wreck Alley
| “Wreck alley” lies in waters outside of Mission Bay in San Diego.
Six vessels were sunk to create artificial reefs. The Ruby E is a Coast Guard cutter lying in 85′ of water. The Shooter’s Fantasy lies in 75′ of water. The El Rey was a kelp cutter sunk in 1987 sitting in 75′ of water. The Yukon is an impressive Canadian Destroyer sunk in 2000. It sits with a slight lilt in 100′ of water. The “Barge” and the “Strider” are also found in these waters. |
